Ride of Silence: Wed. May 18, 2022

A ceremonial vigil for victims of Central Ave. traffic violence, followed by a memorial bike ride.
Meet at 5:30 pm: Riders and non-riders gather at the parking lot of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave.
Pre-Ride Ceremony 5:45 to 6:45 pm consisting of a brief prayer service by Pastor Al Johnson of the host church; reading of the names of pedestrian, bicyclist, and motorist victims of Central Ave. traffic violence. Ceremony will be followed by a discussion of what is wrong with Central Ave., what has been done, and what might be done to save lives.
Ride of Silence 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM: Following the ceremony, a casual bike ride visiting three locations where cyclists lost their lives; then return to the Church. Distance of Ride: 9 Miles on secondary streets.

Helmets required, and signed waiver at the event.
Minimum age 12; riders under age 18 must be accompanied by adults.
