9/30 – Walk/Bike S. End Community Event – Sat., 9/30, 10 AM – 1 PM. Focus on safer streets.  Complete Streets “pop-up” to show how street safety could be improved in the area.  “How-to” demonstration for using the S. Pearl St. parking lot Fixit Station. Promote physical activity and receive comments from community members on proposed connection of the neighborhood to the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail and the Corning Riverfront Park. Includes the possibility of a park under the I-787 ramps. Demo of the proposed street changes and how the underpass area may be transformed. Opportunity to receive suggestions and comments from community members, visit physical activity stations with information on walking routes, parks and trails, and connecting community members with resources. 10/01 – Bike Your Park Day – Sun, 10/01   Join in for Bike Your Park Day to explore by bicycle parks and other public lands with thousands of other people. Parks & Trails New York is hosting a Bike Your Park Day event in Albany.
