11/17 – Gravel Gobbler – Sat, 11/17, Nassau, NY, check in – 12:00 PM, $25. Start line address: 174 Middle Rd., Nassau. Join the Mohawk Hudson Cycling Club’s Gravel Gobbler ride to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. Gravel rides of 22 and 38 miles and road ride of 31 miles. 5/15/19 – Ride of Silence – Wed, 5/15. Two starts: Albany Riverfront Park-Boat Launch area, 6:00 PM and the NYS Education Building (W. Capitol Park/Washington Ave.), 6:30 PM. In 2018, the Ride of Silence had 373 locations world wide, with 47 in the USA. We will visit the ghost bike sites in the City of Albany and Colonie. Anyone with a bicycle and helmet is welcome to this silent and slow-paced ride. As a group, we will have high visibility on the road. If you prefer not to ride, please meet at Diva De Loayza’s site for a reading of people on bicycles who were killed on the road. (Corner of Western Ave., Homestead, and University Place near Sunoco station, Uncommon Grounds plaza, and All Saints RC Church).
