The Albany Bicycle Coalition (ABC) is made up of a group of dedicated cyclists whose goal is to promote bicycling as a viable means of both transportation and recreation in the Capital Region. We believe that bicycling enhances the quality of life by creating a more attractive and vibrant community. Improvements for bicyclists we advocate for include but are not limited to: share the road signs, bike lanes, improved road pavement and grates, traffic calming, driver education, bike parking, and bike stations.
We are Proud of Our Achievements
- Continued to work with a broad range of organizations and groups to further bicycling in the region to include the Pine Hills Neighborhood Association, the Delaware Area Neighborhood Association, the City Planning Office and its consultants, Albany Bike Rescue, the New York Bicycling Coalition, and the Friends of the Rail Trail.

- Worked with the Pine Hills Neighborhood Association leadership on development of a traffic-calming proposal for Madison Ave. from Manning Blvd. to Lark St.
